Storyline
March of The Living tells the story of the last generation of Holocaust survivors on a trip with thousands of teenagers from all over the world to get to know the concentration camps in Poland and remake the March of Death between Auschwitz and Birkenau.
Filmed in Brazil, the United States, Germany, Poland and Israel, the documentary follows the last generation of survivors, transmitting to the adolescents of São Paulo, Los Angeles and Berlin, the history and memories of the massacre they witnessed. In an exciting journey, these young people confront the dimension of the past while envisioning a possibility of hope in their visit to Israel, on the 60th anniversary of the country. A contemporary and unique view of the Holocaust, the film features an extraordinary cinematic concentration camps with images and artifacts never seen before.
March of The Living raises questions about the Holocaust’s remembrance as it establishes relationships with the current genocides around the world and about what will happen when the remaining survivors, now in their 80s and 90s, have departed.
